Labyrinth of War – Updates

We haven’t been posting much in the past few days, but we wanted to let you know what’s going on with LOW.

First of all, we have decided to include two different versions of the game. The first one is going to be the 3D FPS version, and the second is going to be the 2D classic platform/puzzle game. This will add all different kinds of fun to it, giving it a wide range of varieties. Lastly, we are going to enter it in YoYoGame‘s Competition04, “Save the Planet.” Here is the list of prizes (not given out by us):

  1. $1000
  2. $500
  3. $250

If we do win this contest (in any place) we will be able to buy newer paint programs so that we can create better quality games and graphics for your enjoyment.

Another thing: we are changing the name of LOW to Despondency.

LOW on Facebook

We are adding screenshots of Labyrinth of War to our Facebook group, Para Pro. This will include the main menu, maps of the levels, and bonus images. We hope you check it all out (all you need is a Facebook profile). We are also working on FSS, and are moving along pretty well with it. Again, we have screenshots for Ball Wars, FSS, and Labyrinth of War on Facebook.

Labyrinth of War – Possible Storyline

The Story:

The year is 1954, and you’ve been investigating a so-called “haunted mine.” You believe that it is all a myth, so you go down into it to talk with some of the miners. While you are down at the bottom, you hear a rumbling noise and dirt and rocks fall from the boards above you. You hear a loud boom, and everything goes black…

Later, you wake up to find that the tunnel you came from got blocked off by large pieces of debris. You wait a while as you call out into the rubble, but there are no responses. You then decide that the only thing to do is to go into the darkness below. Fortunately for you, you have a headlamp that one of the miners had given you and you now turn it on. You wander through the tunnels for a while until you find a shotgun. Figuring you won’t need it, but deciding to take it anyway, you put the strap over your back. Labyrinth of War

We’re going to put an early version of Labyrinth of War up on Facebook–before we put it here! So if you aren’t a part of the group Para Pro on Facebook, we suggest you join so that you can get all the extra benefits of being the first to get anything! We also are posting 3D draft images of FSS and LOW.

Minigame Series

We are going to start making minigames while we work on FSS, that way we have new games constantly for you guys to check out! Right now we are working on a 3D FPS (first person shooter) minigame that will allow you to explore massive labyrinths, while protecting yourself from the monsters and traps within. It will be complete with a map even, so that you don’t loose your way. We are nearly finished with it, and will put it up on the future new page, Minigames. Come back for more later today!

Best Regards,

-Para Pro
